Weakness (wēknəs): a quality or feature regarded as a disadvantage or fault.
For the longest time, this is how I felt about my body. It was my weakness. A reason why I wasn’t cool enough. Pretty enough. Active enough. Or worthy enough of the things that I deeply desired.
When you live everyday, feeling as if you are inadequate, it can be hard to pull yourself out of the dark.
There are so many factors that aid in the negative thoughts we have about ourselves — our peers, the media, and even our own words of self-hate.

Words are power. They have the power to scar us. Each mean word, each scar, creates a callous on our hearts.
But just as they have the power to harm us, words have the power to uplift and heal.
These past several years, I’ve been on a journey of healing. Combating each negative thought or comment I may have, with something positive and up-lifting.
One way that I am doing this, is through the encouraging words of Birdiebee.
Words do have so much power. When we wear something with a positive message on it, we project that message to the world, too.
Their dedication to size inclusivity is so important!
I endorse your sentiments that words are powerful as they have the power to scar us and create a callouses on our hearts. Recognizes of this undercuts the long held beliefs enshrined in the idiom: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”
I really love the hoodie. It says a great message and that is what we need to teach the next generation to be, Bee Strong Women.
This is awesome! I love clothes that are both comfortable and inspiring.
After kids, my self image changed for sure. It’s so good to know there is a company that is encouraging!
I always say we all carry scars, but it is what we so with the scars that matter the most. You are beautiful! I learned something a few years ago. The only way we are limited is when we put those limits on ourselves. No one has that right to try to take away what the good Lord created! People will always try to make you feel less than because it makes them feel better! Many blessings to you beautiful girl!
We need so much more of women supporting women. We are all beautiful in our own unique way.
That’s so awesome that you met her. Every day really is a struggle. Everyone and everything around us tells us how to look and who to be, whether directly or indirectly. Bee strong, mama!!
