Every year, on the first Sunday in May, my church celebrates Women’s Day to honor the women (Mom’s, Sisters, Friends) who impact our lives. Each year highlights a different theme, this year was denim. Denim has become my new favorite trend, denim vests, denim pants, I even found a pair of denim shoes that I had in high school! But I never thought about how I could dress denim for church or special occasions. So when it was announced that this Women’s Day would be denim themed, I was a little uncertain on what to wear. But as I mentioned in Denim on Denim, I never shy away from a challenge!
I pulled out a denim shirt that I had hanging in the back of my closet, but I was still stumped on what I would match it with. I didn’t want to wear it with pants, I thought that was too casual. I also didn’t want to overdue it with something that was too formal. So when spotted this midi skirt that I bought from Rainbow Shops, I knew it would compliment the denim perfectly…and it was pink!
To tie everything together, I tucked in my denim shirt, then added a dark brown belt to color block the two. I also pulled out my favorite pink pearl necklace, making my outfit a little bit more fancy. Last, but certainly not least, I finished my look with a pair of brown suede heel booties. I am beyond obsessed with these heels, I try to wear them every second I get.
