What a crazy two weeks this has been. Literally, I’ve been on one adventure after the next, and I still have many more to go. So, since I’ve been somewhat MIA lately, I’ve decided to share with you the craziness that has been my life for the last 14 days.
Are you ready? Let’s go!
You guys remember K.CameraReady (writer for Trés Chic)? Well, she had her 24th birthday in Las Vegas! That’s right, Las VEGAS! Now, I know what happens in Vegas, is supposed to stay in Vegas, but my time there was too amazing not to share with you guys.
The adventure began on the last day of September. Luckily I, and two of my best friends from college live somewhat close to each other, so we were able to meet up at the airport to embark on our journey. One thing that you may not know about me: I am deathly afraid of flying. Like full out, panic attack afraid of flying. So it was great being in the company of my girls while I chanted the Lord’s Prayer throughout the entire 5 hrs of flying (thanks A and T for letting me squeeze your hand).
Arriving into Las Vegas was like a kid running into Disney World for the first time. All the lights and sounds were amazing — AND they have casinos in the airport!!! Good thing I’m not a gambler, or I would have spent all my money just playing the slots in LAS.
Driving through the streets of Las Vegas was beyond exciting! Again the lights were almost overwhelming, 10x’s as bright as the lights of Times Square. We finally arrived to our hotel at the end of the strip, and OMG, the rooms were simply amazing! They were huge and had the most comfortable beds….don’t even get me started on the bathroom…let’s just say = makeup heaven.

While going to different shows, clubs, and hanging out by the pool was great, the opportunity to spend time with ten amazing women….let me say that again, TEN amazing women, was simply special. Women are often labeled as being catty, jealous, hormonal, and incapable of existing in large groups without some form of drama. While some of that may be true, this certainly was not the case with the ten of us in Vegas. While we each came from different backgrounds and have different personalities, we were unified in the love we have for our friend and sister. That is so special, I’m almost to the point of tears just thinking about the moments we shared, and the new friendships gained, all because of one special woman: K.CameraReady.
So yes…Vegas was great! I saw new places, made new friends, and started a tradition with ten beautiful women! Let’s talk about jet lag. I literally slept the entire day away after returning from Vegas — I didn’t even know I could sleep for so long.
It was a good thing I slept…the next day I had to jump over to NYC for the first day of my new internship! I always wanted to be a city girl, I am thrilled that I now have the opportunity to do so. A couple of months ago I wrote Write Your Vision, Make It Plain. In this post, I shared my vision board, detailing my hopes and dreams, and how I planned to accomplish them. I mentioned that I would like to work in public relations/social media, and I would do whatever it takes to accomplish this goal. What I am about to tell you is a prime example of what it means to hold fast in your faith, trust and believe that God will provide the desires of your heart. Although it did not happen right away, I am now the intern for a well-known fashion blogger. I am so honored that out of the many, capable individuals that applied for this position, she chose me to work with. I am thrilled to be a part of her success, and I am eager to soak up every bit of information she has to offer me. God always provides a way. Sometimes it may be a long, bumpy road, but it is always a direct route to where you are destined to be.
I’ll make sure to keep you posted on my internship, and other fun/exciting activities that I have coming my way. In these last 2.5 months of 2015, I urge you to chart a vision for your life. What are your goals for 2016? What do you hope to accomplish? Don’t wait until 2016 to start achieving your dreams. START NOW. Start making plans and decisions that will elevate you to the next level, whether they be big or small. Most importantly, surround yourself with friends and family that will nurture your dreams, and will push and pull you to living at your highest potential.
Until Next Time,
<3
