Guys I just have to tell you about my best friend. I have known her for my whole life. From day one she has been precious to me. She is the most kind person that I know, always being there in times that I need her. She encourages me in times that I feel I won’t make it. She’s reminds me of my beauty in times that I feel ugly. She shows me my worth in times that I feel worthless. She gives me a good kicking when I don’t feel like going further. She is a constant reminder of what it means to be strong, bold and courageous. She goes after her dreams to achieve the impossible. My friend doesn’t let anything hold her back. What I love most about my best friend is that she loves God, and extends His love to others. Although she is not perfect, she strives for greatness in the Lord. I inspire to be like her in every way, shape, and form. Besides my parents, my best friend is the best person I know…I truly love and am thankful for her.
What is my best friend’s name?
Her name is Me.
That’s right. I am my ‘best friend’. Let’s get this straight, of course I have real best friends who I also love and cherish. But if I can’t learn to truly love and appreciate myself, how can I expect anyone else to do the same?
Life is hard. There are so many things in life that tell us we won’t make it, or that we aren’t good enough. That we aren’t strong enough. That we aren’t pretty enough. That we just aren’t enough.
Encourage yourself! Tell yourself that you can do all things. Tell yourself that you can achieve your dreams!
See your worth! See your beauty. See your strength, your courageousness and boldness.
Give yourself a kick in the butt when you don’t feel motivated to keep going. Tell yourself that you can do it!
Strive to be the best person you can be. Be the person that YOU want to be.
Learn to appreciate who you are as you are. Cherish yourself. Love yourself for the person that you are. Be the person you can always depend on to lift yourself up, instead of tearing yourself down. Be your best friend!
So if you don’t already know your ‘best friend’, get up, look into the mirror and say “hello!” The person staring back at you will always be there to love and support you. That person staring back at you is your encourager.
Until next time,
<3
