Catching Up…
Where do I even begin? These last couple of weeks have been crazy! So much has happened…I have so much to catch you up on. Let’s see…where do I begin?
I started a business! I know, exciting right? As you may know, I’ve been working in social media for a few years now. Social Media has always been a passion of mine, and its been a pleasure to pursue it professionally by freelancing. Well, I decided to take it a step further by founding my own social media company — Myzie Media.
Myzie Media offers Social Media and Creative Strategies for Influencers, Girl Bosses, and Small Business Owners — helping to build online presence, while fostering meaning relationships with target audiences. It’s been a month since I launched Myzie Media, so it’s been a lot work putting everything together. So far, I have been truly blessed! God has been doing his work, connecting me to new people, allowing for my business to grow. Thank you, for all of your support…as always, you guys have been the best!
A Pink Reunion
Another exciting thing that happened lately, is that I went to my 10 year high school reunion! Crazy, right?! I can’t believe I’ve been out of school for so long — it feels like just yesterday.
Now, if I am to be truthful, I almost decided not to go. None of my close friends were going to be there, and if you know me, I’m not a fan of parties. But I decided to go, I feel that it’s an important life experience.
I’m so glad that I went, I had an absolutely fabulous time. It was nice catching up with old friends, and seeing how life has been in these last 10 years.
When preparing for the reunion, I stressed over what I should wear. Of course, I wanted to look good — I look a little different than I did in high school, and most importantly, I feel different. I’m way more confident. So I wanted that confidence to shine.
I finally settled on this Off The Shoulder Wrap Dress from BooHoo! Of course, I bought in the color pink, but it comes in so many different colors:

Standard

Plus Size

Petite
I love how available this dress is to people of all different sizes…anyone can slay this look! It’s a body-con dress, so it fit and hugged my curves perfectly.
There used to be a time when I shied away from wearing bright colors. Wear deep colors to try to hide and conceal my curves. Now that I’ve learned to embrace them, all of them, I felt confident wearing this dress. And it definitely stood out…it was hard to miss this vibrant pink color! So what are you’re thoughts? Are you loving this dress? I have to say, its now one of my favorites — I would wear it everyday if I could.
As always, I want to leave you with a bit of encouragement. Don’t be afraid to try new things, and to take chances. Starting my business has been one giant leap of faith. It hasn’t been easy. It’s a lot of work. But I can truly say that I have found my purpose in regards to my career. And, I’m glad that I went to my high school reunion. It was something outside my comfort zone. But I’m so glad I went. These are experiences and memories that I would have missed out on if I decided to fall victim to my fears.
So, I encourage you to do the same! What ever it is in your life. Go do it! Trust yourself. Trust your journey. And go live!
