Stepping Into Spring: Plus Size Moto Jacket + More!

Hey Friends! I’m back with one final edition of ‘Stepping Into Spring’. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve shared with you some of my favorite fashion trends for Spring, starting with Denim on Denim and moving to a sweater vest for those cold, chilly days. I’m so excited to share this next look with you, I hope you’ll love it.

Now that we are into the spring of things, the weather has been absolutely beautiful! We’re in that perfect space between Spring and Summer, where it’s not too hot, and it’s not too cold. So I feel super comfortable going outside with just a light jacket, or without one at all.

When I stumbled upon this pink Sasha Ruffle Top available at Fashion to Figure, I knew I had to have it! There was only one problem, they only had the shirt available in one size, and it was two sizes too small. But I decided to give it a try anyway, as CeCe Olisa would say, it’s good to always take a loop in the skinny section, you never know what will work.

And I was pleasantly surprised!

Besides the color *pink*, I love how this shirt accentuates my curves…it hugs in all the right places. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a little thin, so I would recommend wearing it with a cami or something to help smooth it out just a bit.

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a cold shoulder kick lately. For the longest time I felt self-conscious about my arms and shoulders, worried what people would say or think about my stretch marks. It wasn’t until recently that really began to build up the courage to feel comfortable in my own skin, and not care about other’s perceptions or opinions on how I look. These Tiger Stripes are a part of me, and they are beautiful. So being able to walk around town with my shoulders and arms out free, was a really gratifying moment.

I decided to pair this Sasha Ruffle Top with the same distress jeans that I wore in the first part of our Stepping into Spring Series. Again, I love how these pants add just enough flair to my outfit, without overdoing it. And before you say anything, yes, that’s the same purse I always wear. Why fix what’s not broke. Instead, I like to add little trinkets or keychains to change things up a bit…like this fur keychain that I found at Rainbow Shop! It mixes things up just enough without breaking the bank.Stepping Into Spring: Plus Size Moto Jacket www.pinkcaboodle.com

Last, but certainly not least, this pink motto jacket was something that I had to bring home. Also from Fashion to Figure, this jacket is absolutely beautiful. Like the shirt, I bought it at a smaller size, and even though the sleeves are a little tight, I’m pleasantly surprised by how well this jacket fits.

Wearing a moto jacket is a perfect way to add a little edge to your style. While a classic black moto jacket can be exactly what you need to boost your look, I like adding color. This moto jacket is the perfect combination of the two. The color isn’t too overpowering, it’s very subtle, not taking away from it’s ‘bad girl’ edge.

Until Next Time,
