#PrayForBelgium

This morning, I woke up, and immediately my heart sank.

I fell asleep with my TV on last night, so as I woke from my slumber, the first thing I heard were the voices of George Stephonopolis and Robin Roberts, telling ‘me’ that there had been yet another terrorist attack. Another attack. In the city of Brussels (Belgium), as innocent men and women…and their children, attended what was supposed to be a normal day, hate lured in the background, waiting to strike it’s ugly head in the form of suicide bombers and detonating devices at the Zaventem Airport and the Maelbeek Metro Station.

I watched in utter sadness as victims of this attack laid shocked and hurt, not knowing what happened, or what will happen next.

It’s in times like this that I realize how fragile life is, and how important it is for us to cherish each day and each moment of our lives.

While my heart is heavy. And discouraged that darkness has struck yet again. I remain faithful in knowing that I serve a loving God. Evil will not prevail.

[Tweet “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5”]

Light can exist in darkness, but darkness can never exist in light. We are the light of the world. With each renewed strength, with passion, with love, and in unity, we can shine and overcome the darkness. In these moments, we must shine even brighter. Being a reminder of the good in humanity, outweighing the bad.

Until Next Time,

<3 xoxo
